European Markets:  

FRENCH ELECTION DAY

EU markets rallied to yearly highs on the French Election results. The EUSXX600 closed the day up 2.1%, and closed at record highs since December 2015. French banks stocks led the rally gapping up on the positive election news, BNP Paribas and Societe General had their best day since the Brexit. There is no the important news on the agenda Tuesday morning.

FX markets reacted to the French election results sending the Euro sharply higher vs all majors. The Euro had its best move in 2017 while all other majors traded in narrow ranges. Gold lost 1% on the news and was the big loser in the commodities markets on the day. There is no the important news on the agenda Tuesday morning.
