European Markets

 

The FTSE 100 was the only winner in the EU markets Wednesday gaining more than 0.5%. Basic resources sector led the UK markets higher gaining more than 3%, led by mining giants BHP Billiton and Anglo American. All other EU markets closed flat after trading sideways on thin volumes and no news. OIL inventories is the important news on the agenda Thursday afternoon, at 3:30 GMT.
