European Markets:  

EU markets traded sideways for the third day in a row this week, on very little price action and no important economic data. The EUSXX600 index closed higher 0.08%. Adidas.de was the best performer on the day up 9% after reporting better than expected earnings and a strong outlook. Basic materials, autos and energy stocks were the lagging sectors on the day, while banks and retail stocks closed in the green. The ECB press conference at 1:30 pm is the important news on the agenda Thursday.

OIL was the BIG mover in the markets Wednesday afternoon, down 6% to three month lows after the inventories number came higher than expected. FX markets traded mostly sideways while metals had another selloff day, pushed again by the strong dollar. The ECB press conference at 1:30 pm is the important news on the agenda Thursday.
