European Markets   

EU markets traded higher led by Basic resources stocks that all traded sharply higher. The EUSXX600 closed the day up 0.45%. Most major sectors traded in positive territory led by mining giant BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Glencore, all up more than 2% on the day. ECB President Draghi speech at noon and OIL Inventories at 3:30 pm are the important news on the agenda Tuesday. 

Earnings on the agenda Wednesday morning: AXA.fr, Suez.fr.

FX and commodities markets were dominated Tuesday by the strength of the dollar, sending precious metals sharply lower as all majors lost ground vs the dollar. Gold closed under 1220$, at six week lows. ECB President Draghi speech at noon and OIL Inventories at 3:30 pm are the important news on the agenda Wednesday.
