European Markets   

EU markets traded mostly sideways in another choppy trading session that failed to impress investors. Energy was the lagging sector moving south on lower OIL prices. The EUSXX600 closed the day lower 0.2% and was flat for the week. The FTSE was Europe best performer, up 0.7% on the week on a weaker sterling. All major sectors other than Banks, Energy and Autos closed the trading day flat. ECB president Draghi speech at 2 pm is the important news on the agenda Monday.

Forex & Commodities markets

FX markets had another trendless session to close the week on a flat note, however the sterling was FX markets best mover moving lower vs all majors on UK election worries. OIL reversed some of yesterday loses as well as metals, climbing ahead of the long US Memorial holiday weekend. ECB president Draghi speech at 2 pm is the important news on the agenda Monday.
